***Note – rescheduled to 6/9 due to rain!
The first Crop Mob of the season is upon us! What’s a Crop Mob, you say? Essentially a Crop Mob is an event where a group of volunteers roll up their sleeves and help a small farmer with a specific project. The volunteers have the opportunity to connect with their food source and learn about an aspect of agriculture. The Mob provides an impromptu, volunteer workforce and the farmer shares their skill, knowledge and experience.
The first Crop Mob of 2012 will be on Saturday June 2nd 9th at 11AM. We’re building a pig habitat which will include a bunch of fencing work as well as constructing a run-in shelter and feeding station.
What to bring: appropriate sun and bug protection, work gloves, a water bottle
We’ll provide all the tools and know-how, as well as some finger foods to keep you going! Everyone’s welcome, young and old – just let us know if you plan on attending so we can make sure there is enough food to go around!
Dolly and Okotto cannot wait for their new wooded playground to be finished!
